Social Media Intern

Purpose of the position:

Strengthen and improve Shalom House’s online presence and communications through its website, and Facebook and Linkedin accounts.

Accountability:

Accountable to the Development Director.

Term of position:

Fall 2010 semester. Internship hours are flexible with a minimum of 6 hours per week. Schedule must be between Monday – Friday, 9 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Responsibilities:

1. Support Shalom House’s website, and Facebook and Linkedin accounts.
2. Help create online communication pieces.
3. Provide structure for further development of Shalom House’s online presence.
4. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

1. Belief in the mission of Shalom House.
2. Computer and Internet savvy.
3. Team player.
4. Able to complete work within deadlines.
5. High school diploma or equivalent.
6. Must maintain confidentiality.
