QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree with experience in fundraising and community relations. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word and experience with one or more database software packages.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Under the supervision of the Director of Development, the part-time specialist primarily handles donor data management and special events support. This includes regularly producing thank you letters, pledge reminders, contact lists and database reports.


RESPONSIBILITIES

Development Duties

* Works with Director of Development and Grants and Communications Manager (creating the Development Team) to assure fundraising success for agency.

* Manages the donor database by creating and updating entries, queries/filters, and reports. Produces data-driven mass communications and initiates follow-up calls and research efforts as needed to complete projects.

* Works with Development Team to plan and execute special events. This includes attending planning meetings, tracking and purchasing supplies, processing registrants and providing on-site support and customer service.

* Works in tandem with the Business Manager to regularly reconcile donor database with financial management software.

* Editing and proofing of Development Team communications in print and online.

General Duties

* Participates in agency committees as assigned.

* Attends required agency trainings and at least one outside education offering per year.

* Demonstrates awareness of socioeconomic and cultural diversity.

* Completes all agency statistical forms (time sheets, expense reports, vacation forms, etc.) in a timely manner.

* Assumes other duties as assigned.

ACCOUNTABILITY

Accountable to the Director of Development for carrying out responsibilities and for conformance to agency policies and procedures.
