Full Time Development Manager – Grants

Youth In Need, a leading non profit organization that serves children, youth and families in St. Louis and surrounding counties, is seeking a full time Grant Manager in St. Charles.

Purpose of the Job: 

This position is responsible on-going grant and management of the agency’s corporate, foundation, and government grant applications.  The Grant Manager also identifies new corporate and foundation grant opportunities to support new and existing programs and the annual fund.

Responsibilities:

• Research new corporate and foundation grant opportunities;
• Provide follow-up reports to corporate, foundation and government funders as requested;
• Coordinate information, write and submit all agency grant applications, and implement follow-up procedures. 
• Summarize grant writing activities and successes on a quarterly basis;
• Cultivate professional relationships with representatives of corporate and foundation funders;
• Manage grant calendar and grant filing system;
• Collaborate with program staff to identify needs and to prioritize opportunities for new grant funding.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree;
• Grant writing experience OR professional writing experience with working knowledge of grant writing processes;
• 2-3 years experience with professional writing, non-profit fundraising, and/or non-profit administration;
• Good understanding of program evaluation principles and practices.

• Highly competent at written and verbal communication
• Experience with public speaking and presentations preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Word & Excel, Raiser’s Edge experience preferred
• Excels at interpersonal/relationship building
• Time management skills with ability to meet multiple deadlines
