Help OASIS directors develop and implement local marketing plans to attract new audiences and increase participation. This position reports to the Director of Communications and Technology for The OASIS Institute, a national not-for-profit organization that provides programs in 25 U.S. cities to enrich the lives of older adults through lifelong learning and civic engagement opportunities.
:
- Identifying channels and strategies in each local community to reach new audiences with OASIS’ message and programs
- Conducting research to identify and profile target audiences
- Identifying and building relationships with local partners who can help market OASIS through their communications
- Building relationships with the local aging network to increase awareness and impact of OASIS and identify opportunities
- Communicating regularly with local media and identifying newsworthy stories to generate positive publicity
- Developing local marketing budgets and planning the best use of available funds
- Engaging volunteers in helping to promote OASIS in the community
- Develop marketing communications to promote programs to new audiences, such as brochures, flyers, postcards, direct mail, presentations, online and email campaigns.
- Serve as a liaison with OASIS’ staff and national marketing/advertising providers to develop effective communications
- Bachelors Degree required; Masters Degree preferred
- Minimum of three years experience developing and executing marketing strategies
- Solid skills in written and oral communication
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Desktop publishing skills
