ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT
Marketing & Corporate Communications works strategically with Sales and Account Management across all divisions to manage relationships, win new business and retain existing clients. We also provide strategic planning and communications counsel for key corporate initiatives, as well as tactical and creative support for areas throughout the organization, including Product Management, Human Resources and Information Systems. Broadly, we are responsible for all corporate messaging and communications management. Other areas of responsibility include:
- Corporate proposal database
- Commercial and Labor proposal operations
- Public affairs and media relations
- Corporate events and experiential marketing
- Employee, client and member communications
RESPONSIBILITIES
This position will conceive, develop and produce strategically appropriate creative marketing communication solutions for internal and external communication pieces with primary focus on graphic development.
Work closely with clients, marketing writers and account executives to conceive creative solutions to communications opportunities.
Develop strategically and audience-appropriate graphic designs to address communications opportunities.
Assist in the professional development of other graphic designers and production artists.
Ensure adherence to company’s graphic and quality standards.
Manage external vendors and suppliers to ensure delivery of quality creative on time and on budget.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of 2-3 years experience developing and executing high-end creative graphic-based solutions, and demonstrated skill with Quark, PhotoShop and Illustrator.
BA Degree required, prefer degree in Graphic Design/Communications
Proven ability to translate the strategic communications needs of a client or business into appropriate and impactful creative executions
Mac Proficiency a must - OSX
Mac Software Proficiency ¿ Adobe Creative Suite CS3, Adobe Acrobat, Quark 7.0, Suitcase Fusion, Toast 9, MS Office 2008
Will require PC proficiency utilizing MS Office 2007 (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage outside supplemental creative resources
Extensive production background with a variety of print media
Proficiency in managing printers and other outside suppliers
High level of quality standards and attention to detail
